Meet Abbey
Abbey started the Whistler local’s favourite dog walking, hiking and sitting service, Doggy Tales Whistler in 2020. Brought on by a yearning to more deeply understand canine behaviour and help the local dog community, Abbey pursued the path to becoming a trainer.
In 2023, Abbey graduated with distinction from the Karen Pryor Academy as a Certified Training Partner. She also completed her Fear Free Professional Dog Trainer’s certification.
In 2024, Abbey was awarded the BC SPCA’s Animal Kind accreditation. becoming one of two trainers to hold this designation within the Sea to Sky community. In 2025, she completed Micheal Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course.
Abbey is a board member of the Pemberton Animal Wellbeing Society and lives in Whistler with her husband and two WAG rescues Tucker and Boomer. In her free time, Abbey enjoys baking sourdough, hiking, and foraging for wild mushrooms.
